About 4 Types Of Skin And Its Care
There are, according to scientific studies so far, four types of skin. They are normal, dry, oily and a blend of all. As you know, skin is one of the most important and delicate parts of your body. And you need to take adequate and proper care of your skin to enhance your appearance and beauty.
Now let us delve a deeper and get more information about the skin types. Normal skin is, by and large, smooth. You can see any dark spots or blotches on a normal skin. All those people having a normal skin usually do not have to take extra care as in the case of a dry or an oily texture of the skin. However, people with normal skin need to remember that there is no complacency; they should take the basic step of always keeping it clean and neat. Otherwise they can face skin problems sooner than later.
Dry skin is also among the common types of skin. A large number of people in the US and other countries have dry skin. All those who have dry skin do not have the sufficient amount of ‘wetness’ in it. In other words, the dry skin lacks the normal or natural moisture in it. As a result, people having dry skin feel that it is too tight and rigid. It is very common that people with dry skin face more difficulties in the cold season. The main reason for this is that there is little or almost no moisture in it. The dry skin has no flexibility during that period and cannot adjust easily to the cold atmosphere.
Perhaps the best remedy for those having dry skin is to consume large amount of vegetable oils, lanolin and petrolatum. Remember that lanolin is yellow viscous animal oil extracted from wool and is a mixture of fatty acids and esters that is used in some ointments and cosmetics. The petrolatum is a semisolid mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum and is used in medicinal ointments and for lubrication
In case you have an oily skin, you need to take extra care. The risk of suffering form from skin related diseases like Acne are found to be more among those having oily skin. You can develop redness or blackheads on the facial skin very easily when bacterial elements enter the pores of your skin. The same is true for all those people having a combination of dry and oily skin. As a remedy for the oily and the blended skin type, olive oil is considered to be the best option.
No matter the particular situation, improvements can be made through proper skin care based upon your skin type.
